Step 3: Tension Control Installation
The third and final step to upgrading the press was installing the S-3100 Tension Controller (Now upgraded to the new S4 Digital Tension Controller )
The Montalvo Controller completes the entire system and provides a singular area to monitor and control the tension throughout the application.
Cables are run from the load cell to the controller and power is supplied. Material is webbed to use the load cell signal and bypass the dancer assembly. Once this is done, the load cell and tension controller are calibrated, material settings are set and saved and the system is ready to run.
The Montalvo S-3100 Tension Controller provided the operators a simple to use product with the ability to practically "set it & forget it" for instantaneous tension control for every type of web.
